Wombats City hostel in Vienna is part one of the three branches this small chain has in Germany and Austria. Wombats hostels were created by passionate travelers, Marcus and Sascha, who have traveled about everywhere so far. The base is the “older“ of the two hostels, having been founded in 1999. The rooms are clean and look rather cheerful. There are dorms of 6 with bunk beds or double rooms. Lockers and breakfast are available. Wombats City hostel the lounge
The other branch of Wombats in Vienna. This hostel was founded a little after Wombats the base and is equal in comfort and amenities. It’s located on Vienna’s famous shopping street, Mariahilferstraße. There are double rooms and dorms with four and six beds. Breakfast is available but not included. Like the other Wombats hostel, this is a great place to meet fellow travelers, socialize, and hang out together- this hostel has a bar of its own, as well. Beds from 17 Euros.

Hostel Ruthensteiner
Another hostel founded by passionate travelers, Ruthensteiner is comfortable and caters to all needs of backpackers.
