Best weather

The best weather in Vienna occurs between the month of March, when spring begins, and continues through to the end of August when autumn starts. Although spring is very short and there appears to be more summer than spring, these months of spring and summer offer the warmest weather and the best opportunity to visit Vienna and enjoy all that it has to offer the visitor. In July it’s warm with light breezes that make the heat bearable but as August steps in the humidity rises and the days become hotter with fewer breezes blowing then. With the month of September begins autumn and the days become progressively colder and shorter thereafter, culminating in intense winters.

Try not to miss

Because of Vienna’s history in music and the arts, combined with it’s imperial past, there is no lack of attractions and sights to be seen. There’s the imperial Palace Hofburg with its rich history, The Vienna ring Tram, Art Nouveau or one can enjoy a ride on a horse drawn carriage through the city of Vienna to visit the Saint Stephen’s Cathedral. No visit to Vienna is complete without a visit to a museum, a castle or palace, a cathedral or one of the many land marks including libraries, chapels, Parliament, Opera houses and the list goes on. While spring and summer offer the best climate to visit Vienna, the many attractions available once you get there, make anytime the best time to visit Vienna.

Longest queues

Amazingly, while Vienna does have a warmer climate from March to August, and one might expect that visitors would be more inclined to visit during this period more than other times of the year, this, however, is not necessarily the case. With so many attractions to choose from, venues to visit and sights to see the possibilities are endless and the queues are short. Vienna is possibly one of the most hassle-free vacation venues the world over and is becoming increasingly popular among vacationers.

Cheapest months to visit

Being the 12th wealthiest country in the world makes Vienna a luxurious yet affordable destination for visitors. Becoming a member of the European Union has boosted the Austrian economy and by extension, that of Vienna as well so tourists are enjoying the spill over effect of a thriving economy and the beauty and art that put Vienna on the map and made it a vacation destination where anytime is the best time to visit Vienna.
